π¨ URGENT RESCUE PLEA FOR BAILEY π¨ – Calvert County Animal Shelter – Maryland
πΎ Blind and Grieving, Bailey Needs a Loving Home πΎ
Sweet Bailey is a 15-year-old, 13 lb. Cairn Terrier who has found herself at the shelter after her beloved owner passed away. π
Not only is Bailey a grieving senior, but she is also mostly blind and has limited hearing. The chaotic, stressful shelter environment is no place for such a fragile little soul.
Despite everything sheβs been through, Bailey is gentle and loving. She will most likely need a dental, but what she truly needs most right now is comfort, stability, and a safe place to land.
Bailey should be spending her golden years in a warm, quiet homeβnot scared and confused in a kennel. Please reach out ASAP if you can help give Bailey the second chance she so desperately deserves.
Bailey is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Bailey and many other animals in need are available and can be seen on our website: www.calvertcountyanimalshelter.com

Hi Janet,
I know many people have been worried about little Bailey, and we thank you for sending this in so that it could be directed to the right place. And Thanks to everyone who forwarded your message.
But let’s give a special thanks to CCTR’s own Tracey S who started working on this baby’s case very early this morning, and who has since made the rescue journey over to Prince Frederick to pull little Bailey out of the shelter and into the arms of her lovin’ cousins. And we want to thank Jamie H, one of the most compassionate shelter managers we have ever met. She was so grateful for Bailey’s rescue and let us know that we were the only group who responded to their pleas.
Bailey will not appear right away on our CCTR’s Web page or Facebook Page as she needs to see a veterinarian first so that she can get everything she needs to feel better. We don’t know what the long-term future holds for Bailey, but we do know that from now on she will know only love and comfort and being cherished by her eagerly waiting foster mom, Sharon B. Yay — Thanks Sharon!
Rescue — this is what it’s all about.
