Vinnie is a pure-bred Tibetan Spaniel. It's not a well-known breed in the US currently, but the breed is over 2000 years old and is gaining popularity, with a coat very like a Golden Retriever. Vinnie is a very active, smart dog that craves attention and stimulation.
It has been a pleasure to foster Vinnie. He has blossomed here. He loves running out in the yard, laying in the grass and playing with his buddies. On hot days he loves coming in the dog door and splashing in our large water bowl, then laying on the wet floor to cool off. We are working on teaching him to stop doing that, but it’s a work in progress so small water bowl recommended.
Vinnie is playful, sweet, food driven (which helps with training), good with other dogs, used to cats, and once he gets to know you, loves his people. He is house and crate trained. He currently knows the commands: come, crate, and sit. He is not afraid of storms or loud noises.
He does have a lot of energy, endless curiosity and courage, and loves treat time.
