2/15/2026. "You walked into the pawty, like you were walking onto a yacht..." This little man just walked into my house so calm and confident, and he has been such a good boy! He's fit in with three resident dogs very well. Where to start? Rennie is an owner surrender through no fault of his own. He is 14 years old, and weighs 23 lbs. He's in very good shape for his age & just had a dental. He is a special little dude. As it is yet to be determined if he is hard of hearing or just stubborn, being a terrier, perhaps a bit of both. He has some endearing habits. 1. He is very mellow, he just wants to hang out with people. When he can't, he goes & sleeps in his x-pen, crate, or on my bed. Which I allow during the day. 2. He doesn't bark, he chirps. Really. He watches from my bedroom window. I have 2 "announcers" so he doesn't seem to feel the need. Chirping is reserved to tell me that he's ready to come out of the x-pen if I haven't been up yet. Sometimes he resents going to the x-pen at night, but the protests don't last long. 3. Food. Rennie is a dedicated chow-hound. He is currently on a special diet he loves for weight loss but he's nearly at goal. He previously ate a high quality kibble which he loved. He came with 25lbs of cheap kibble which he obviously loved because he was quite portly. Anyway, the only time he runs is when it's supper-time. Otherwise, he can do a nice trot. What he doesn't do is get under my feet, which I appreciate. In summary he is the best boy and I'm sure you will think so too. I haven't been out with him because of our weather but I am very sure he would enjoy going out for walks and meeting new friends.
