Meet Gizmo - Your Future Furry Best Friend!

Gizmo is a charming 3-year-9-month-old Wheaten Cairn Terrier with a heart as golden as his coat. This playful and energetic boy is always ready for an adventure, whether it’s a brisk walk (he’s great on leash!) or a cozy cuddle session on the couch. Housebroken and crate-trained, Gizmo is a well-mannered companion who adapts easily to your routine—he’ll happily sleep in a crate or snuggle up in bed with his foster mom at night.

Gizmo is smart, sharp, and a little bit silly—he’s even been known to enjoy watching TV like a true couch pup-tato. He knows a few basic commands, though he sometimes prefers to follow his own instincts. With a strong prey drive, Gizmo would do best in a cat-free home, but he gets along wonderfully with the resident dog and thrives in a canine-friendly environment.

Above all, Gizmo is a sweetheart who loves nothing more than being close to his humans. If you’re looking for a loyal lap dog with a spirited personality and a whole lot of love to give, Gizmo might just be your perfect match.

    MEDICAL CONDITION

Gizmo has a condition known as EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency). It's a name that can sound worse than the condition can be. EPI means that the pancreas does not produce enough enzymes to allow for proper, efficient digestion. This can lead to the dog becoming weak and malnourished. Fortunately, it is treated with simple enzyme supplements, much like vitamin pills. As long as the dog receives these supplements then this condition should not affect longevity or activity levels, depending on underlying causes. We are not veterinarians, nor claim to be, so please consult with your own veterinary regarding Gizmo's condition. Here is a link to a brief explanation: EPI - Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. Please meet with your Placement Specialist for more information.
