Danny Boy is 2-1/2 years old and has happily completed his h/w treatment and is will soon be ready for adoption. This handsome red-wheaten lad was found in a shelter in Louisiana and taken in by Col. Potter last May. Danny Boy has now been transferred into the loving care of Cairns & Cousins, where he still has the same great foster homne with Sandra and Rick who are ready to tell us all about him.

12/29/25   Danny Boy is learning to trust us more every day. He’s starting to realize the collar and harness aren’t so scary after all. He's now a pro on the leash and will wait while I put it on and off.  Watch his progress in this video: https://youtube.com/shorts/KDLSO9palio

Danny Boy is also proving just how smart he is—he’s already figured out the treat puzzle board! Check him out in action here: https://youtube.com/shorts/B9Xcu0gmWBc?feature=share.

As you can see, Danny Boy is feeling more comfortable, he's even choosing to sit close to his foster mom on the couch! Not long ago, this sweet boy was terrified of people and unsure about his new surroundings. With patience, love, and encouragement, he’s made tremendous progress. Every day he’s showing us a little more of his personality, and we know his confidence will continue to grow. He's still going through his heartworm treatment but is almost done.
