3/25/2026. Nicholas—affectionately known as Nico—is truly the best boy. He has an incredibly sweet, easygoing personality and adapts well to just about any situation. Nicholas is the kind of dog who is simply a joy to be around, he’s easy to live with and even easier to love. He absolutely adores attention and will happily soak up all the pets and scratches you’re willing to give. That said, he’s also curious and enjoys checking out the backyard to see what’s going on. In the mornings, he’s ready for playtime—especially a good game of fetch or his personal favorite, “keep away.”
Nico does wonderfully with other dogs. He’s respectful of his canine companions, choosing to engage with those who want to play while giving space to those who prefer not to. He has great manners, patiently waiting his turn for meals and treats, and he already knows some basic commands. Overall, he’s very cooperative and eager to please.
Nico would do best in a home where he can spend plenty of time with his people. He does experience some separation anxiety, so a laid-back household or someone who can include him in daily activities would be ideal. The good news is that he travels well and enjoys going along for the ride. He is fully house trained and very in tune with his people, if you’re up and active, he’s ready to join you; if you’re settling in for the evening, he’s right there with you. Nicholas is a loyal, well-behaved companion who brings warmth and happiness wherever he goes.
Like many dogs, Nico has a few quirks, he may bark at passersby and enjoys rolling in the grass (and sometimes dirt!), but these are all part of his charming, playful nature. Nicholas is truly a special dog and will make an amazing companion for the right home.
2/18/2026. Nicolas has been here for a couple of weeks, and he is just a love bug. He wants to be around his people and asks for loves and pets, but will also rest on his own, too. He’s a pretty good alarm if someone comes to the door or if there are people he doesn’t know who are outside the fenced area. He knows some commands and is completely potty trained. He’s a very compliant boy and wants to please and to be loved. He gets along with all the resident pups and has initiated play with our large German Shepherd. Nicolas is just a ball of love waiting for his forever home.
