Why Do Rescues Have Adoption Fees?

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Cairns & Cousins Terrier Rescue cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the dogs.

Costs of Rescuing a CCTR Dog

Adoption Fees:

Dogs
  • $600.00 - Puppies from 0 months to 12 months
  • $550.00 - Puppies from 1 years to 3 years
  • $450.00 - Dogs from 3 years to 6 years
  • $325.00 - Dogs from 6 years to 9 years
  • $175.00 - Dogs aged 9 years and up

Fees for Dogs with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.

Adoption Inclusions:

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Cairns & Cousins Terrier Rescue cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the dogs. At adoption, Cairns & Cousins Terrier Rescue dogs will be current on their vaccines and will have the following:

Dogs
  • Rabies (1 yr. or 3 yr.)
  • Distemper (DHLPP or DHLPP-C)
  • Bordetella
  • Negative Heartworm, Lyme's, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis Tests
  • Lyme Vaccine (if relevant)
  • Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered
